What was here before?

If you were here in the early half of 1900’s, you would be looking in the windows of Mrs Dewar’s Fruit & Confectionery store. The store later became the business of Jack & later Tex Gillham.

In 1871  O.L. On-Hing’s Store & E.F Garbode’s Fancy Goods Bazaar occupied the site (photos sourced from the collections of the State Library of New South Wales).
